    Celebrity trainer, Jonathan Howard has trained everyone from top NFL and NBA athletes to the biggest actors and directors in Hollywood, parlaying his wealth of knowledge, training, and experience into Sparta Academy. As the head personal trainer, he has created the progressive and visionary Sparta Cross-Training Method – a combination of strength training, track, state of the art agility/conditioning, and MMA which has been implemented into our unique group and private classes. Jonathan Howard’s personal training programs are tailor-made for each client and unlike others, he practices what he preaches; Jonathan doesn’t teach anything he doesn’t do himself to stay in great shape.

    ABOUT JONATHAN

    Finding his calling in football and track, Jonathan learned to train hard and smart becoming the second team All-American Running Back JC. He moved on to professional football in the U.S. and Europe where he received multiple rushing and scoring records and titles. During these pursuits, Jonathan trained under NFL and SAC International speed coach, Charlie Parker, and Olympic sprinting and hurdling coach, Brent McFarlane, and was a class instructor at Barry’s Boot Camp. He also has experience coaching football as an offensive coordinator and running coach at a championship level.

    Jonathan pursued mixed martial arts training, specifically Jiu-Jitsu with the world famous Gracie family, Muay Thai training at the world famous Fairtex Gym in Pattaya, Thailand and Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand. He trained in Krav Maga, receiving his black belt at the Alliance world headquarters. He has trained with countless MMA, Jiu-Jitsu, and Kickboxing greats. Some accomplishments include undefeated kickboxing record, the Gold Medal at the Pan-Am International Jiu-Jitsu Tournament, the Gold Medal at the Southern California Pankration Tournament, the Gold Medal at the Worlds International Jiu-Jitsu Championship, and multiple United States Fighting League national titles.
